Jaejin Hwang is originally from South Korea, and currently resides in Ohio, US. He is a graduate student in Engineering, and a freelance photographer. His works are usually based on the natural and random moments in our daily lives. Most of the time, he uses a symbolic approach by series of photos rather than direct approach of answering a specific theme.

Jaejin’s latest series ”Asleep” describes an ambiguous distinction between the peaceful death and falling asleep. Jaejin describes it as such: ”I got inspired by the song, Asleep, by the Smiths. When I listened to this song, I realized that there were similarities between the peaceful death and falling asleep. I tried to describe this theme with natural and random moments in our daily lives in symbolic ways rather than directly displaying the topic.”
