Fiorucci Made Me Hardcore, video piece by Mark Leckey, 1999

The day came and now all I do is thinking how someone’s art can change your attitude at your own art making. Mark Leckey is famous in making videos, music and collages as well as objects. The artist is trying to help us interact with objects in our daily life. He says that people can be in constant communication with every aspect of our environment and everything can be alive. That is why he created performance piece GreenScreenRefrigeratorAction in 2010 and it was the most definite people attraction. The way sound was created and refrigerator placed, hearing sounds also from the other pieces and connecting all of it in your head afterwards was like one successful trip into future. Mark Leckey was born in 1964 in Birkenhead, near Liverpool, England. He is mostly known as the creator of Fiorucci Made Me Hardcore (1999) and Industrial Lights and Magic (2008) which now you can see in Brussels at WIELS Contemporary Art Centre until 11.01.2015.
