I paid a quarter to walk across the bridge over the Rio Grande river, and strolled into Mexico. I visited Reynosa & Nuevo Progresso, Mexico. Here, the tequila is divine and plentiful, the sun is hot, and there is Mexican music playing everywhere you go.

The people I encountered were very kind. I met a man with no arm and a gold tooth, who said he fought a deadly cancer through eating rattlesnakes (image #6). I am fascinated with these towns.
