When and why did you start blogging?

Five years ago I saw how some bloggers were getting front row seats in fashion and I thought, ‘Hey I can do this too’. So I started the blog hoping to get freebies and fame and hopefully get a job with my then-hero Donatella Versace.

This might not be true. It was five years ago, I can’t remember very well now….

How would you describe your style?

Japanese potato sack-like wabi sabi meets tailored octagonal futuristic sculpture with a dash of Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves drapery. To be honest I can’t pigeonhole my style. I simply like nice things.

How much time do you spend choosing outfits?

Anywhere from 5 minutes to an hour, depending on the occasion and how inspired I was at that particular moment.

Favourite song of the moment?

Africa by Toto

What do you do when you’re not blogging?

Other than earning money, I play candy crush on my newly-acquired Iphone 3GS. If I don’t feel lazy I’d try to do some decent writing and reading. Someone has to talk about feminism on the fashion front yes? And sometimes I cry over Rick Owens jackets I can’t afford on ebay.

Favourite collection of all time?

I can’t possibly just pick one. They’d have to be Comme des Garcons’s FW 2009 – ‘Wonderland’ and Rick Owens’s FW 2008 – ‘Stag’

What do you find interesting in the fashion world at the moment?

Sometimes I wonder if denim mini skirts will ever make a comeback.

Strangers on tumblr, old editorials that feature the works of Comme des Garcons and Yohji Yamamoto, cultural clothing regardless of their origins, Nicolas Ghesqueire’s and Rick Owens’s works.

Will you still be blogging in 10 years?

Maybe. If it’ll get me closer to Versace then probably yes. I simply must know how she keeps her irrelevant gaudy brand going.
