“Everything started with the bunny character that is on every door of the parisian metro” says filmmaker Anton Bialas who created an independent, surrealist 10-minute long story BUNNYBOY that we are proud to debut on Dry Magazine.
The cartoon style bunny that appears on the metro door sticker with his hand trapped between the doors inspired Bialas to create a loose narrative about an outcasted boy – “Although depicted as a comical character, I always thought he carried a very tragic dimension”. The movie indeed builds upon the tragic factor. Watching the boy drifting through virtual worlds of hyper realistic games that he plays we are drowned in his fantasies, sympathizing with the innocent fool.
Anton Bialas is a young director based in Paris who is creating visually beautiful and entertaining universes in his short movies. Regardless whether is it a story capturing a beautiful model or reminiscences of a burned car, he has vision and courage to experiment. You can see other works of Anton on his Vimeo and Tumblr.
